Edward Elgar Violin Concerto in B Minor, Op. 61

Gil Shaham releases in November the Elgar Violin Concerto, recorded with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Zinman. Maestro Zinman and Shaham have performed this concerto countless times together with performaces taking place in Cleveland, Montreal, Miami, Chicago, London, New York, Berlin and San Francisco. As Classical Source observes: ‘the recording is excellent, bright and vivid without being harsh, and tangible while retaining airiness… a deeply considered performance.’
